Journal 14: Reflection on portfolio design process

    This week I will work on my portfolio design.
    First of all, I used Photoshop to draw a logo for my portfolio.

      

    The reason and concept of this logo is I want to use that to tell the audiences my main purpose of this website. Therefore I draw a separated "PORTFOLIO" as the logo and put in at the center in my home page. I also wrote my name and course name between logo. 

   

    As for the structure, I try to make it clear and easy to use or understand.  I put four buttons in my homepage which called project, portfolio, reflection and about me. Users can click it to go the corresponding pages. I hope can guide the users to interact with my web. In this case, people can start     to use this web, just press project button and he can read the main contents.

    I uses html and css to implement my basic layout and style of portfolio. 

    

    

    As for the functionality, this website consists some basic functions. I designed that each page has a navigation bar at the top and footer at the buttom. I hope people can use it easily, when they want to shift to another page. It might give them better experiecnce and reduce their confuse.

    This portfolio intents to summarize all activities I did in this course and reflection on this course itself. It is divided into six sections, such as homepage, course reflection, evluation of three major projects and some pieces of information about me. 

    

    The content plays the most important role in this portfolio. Firstly, in major project session, I put all assessments I completed reflectively and evaluation them. I use graphics to demonstrate my works and describe my design process. For example, I will example the difficulty I met and the improvements I did when I work on my major project. Also, I will tell the reason of that. In portfolio session, I will talk about the purpose of this portfolio. As for course reflection. there are some evaluation of this course, such as some advantages of taking this course, what I learned in this course and more suggestion for it. Because I hope this course can be better.
